San Rafael, Family, Amtrak MisAdventure and Other Momentous Events

I went to San Rafael by Amtrak on Friday, April 8th.  I was house/pet setting while Clay, Janyll and Kaylie went to New Orleans for a few days.  This is a birdhouse outside Kaylie's bedroom window.  She said no bird has ever been in it.

Picture of a picture of Clay that sits in their living room.  He was 11. Cody, Charlie's son in the back was 9 or 10.

I was in the driveway waiting for Clay and Kaylie to drive me to the train station in Richmond when I snapped this picture.

View from train where we stopped for a couple of hours because someone walked in front of the train.

Brochure in the pocket in front on my seat.
Jennifer picked me up at train station in Sacramento around 10:00 p.m. and spent the night with me. It was nice to have someone to decompress with in the aftermath of suicide by Amtrak.
Erica and I walked downtown to Rite Aid.

Got together with Pat and Helen on April 30th.  Snow-capped Sierra's in background.

May 3, Jennifer, Jacey and I went to San Francisco to meet Stan and Margaret.  They were on a cruise from Los Angeles to Vancouver and had a few hours in San Francisco.  We took the ferry from Mare Island in Vallejo to Fisherman's Wharf.

Taken from ferry approaching San Francisco.  That's the cruise ship Stan and Margaret were on.

  1. New Orleans - retracing our steps. Can't get over how much Clay looks like you! Did he have blonde hair when he was little? Looks like you've been busy - great pics - I like the one of the bird.
